Legend about the Kyrgyz origin

From the Chinese chronicles:

"� The numerous enemies attacked a small but brave tribe. Nobody yielded to entreaties. And the enemies gave them no quarter. Men were killed in battles; women, children, old people - all were sabred. The only boy, the leader's son was left alive. The enemies cut off both of his hands and threw him down into the swamp with mocking words:
Let your manly tribe be regenerated from you!
During that terrible and long night the boy had been hearing mournful jackals' howling, depressed owls' cries, snakes' rustling in riverside grass�
All of a sudden he heard distant wolf's howling. A big female wolf appeared on the edge of the swamp. The boy was so weak and helpless that he could not resist her. She took him by the collar of his sheepskin coat and easily carried him out of the swamp. Than she licked his wounds all over and nursed him. The boy had been growing under her protection and after a while he turned into a handsome young boy. But he was without his hands... and he had never seen people�He used to sit near the riverside of the rapid mountain river, thinking about his bitter destiny: he was the only one left out of the tribe and when he would die, there would be nobody! And the most awful thing which could be fallen any nation - is to vanish from the face of the earth. No descendants, no name, no memory� The female wolf was lying at his feet and seemed to understand his thoughts. When the boy came to himself he saw a wonderful girl.
Who are you? Aren't you a daughter of the Sky? - He asked.
- I am the Goddess of this river. I have been sent to you in the image of the female wolf by the Blue Sky (Tengri) to save your tribe from the eternal unconsciousness. Now, if you wish I will become your wife.
After a while enemies killed the boy. And the female wolf run away to the Altai Mountains and gave birth to ten sons. Each of the sons became the leader of a powerful tribe. One of them, Kyrgyz became the ruler of people in Enisey."
